Our Story
Molly and Alik grew up in Saint Louis, attended rival high schools, and were even in the same year at WashU. And yet somehow, despite their many friends in common, they didn't encounter each other until 2014!
In October of that year, they met at the Handlebar in the Grove. It was just a casual gathering of friends, but it was also the beginning of something more. Molly and Alik started rock climbing together with their crew, and soon enough, they were friends.
Neither Molly nor Alik had ever been to the newly-opened IKEA, so in November 2015 they decided to go together on what they now call the “proto-date.” They had too much fun playing with the Blåhaj sharks, eating at the food court, and sitting on all the recliners — and just 6 months later they were dating for real!
Together, Molly and Alik enjoy biking to the Grove, long walks in Forest Park, drinking lattes and philosophizing at Kaldis, going out to eat at their favorite restaurants, watching the University Challenge game show, making cocktails with friends, and traveling.
In February 2022, Alik proposed to Molly with a scavenger hunt in their Demun neighborhood. Now the wedding date is approaching, and they can't wait to share their celebration with special guests from near and far!
They're getting married! At the Jewel Box! It's gonna be boss.
